I have an opportunity to buy another project and want to sell this one.... please read: 1 meticulous owner, completely stock, numbers matching, never modified or crashed. It comes complete with the original window sticker, all books, spare keys, misc dealer info, tools, tool bag, chocks and jack. It even has the factory plastic on the passenger harness. It had and has a very solid frame, floors and sheet metal. HISTORY: (I purchased this unmolested car to use as a model to restore a 'very rusted 71 Z.) I was very careful to keep as much originality as possible, but had to rebuild the engine and fix some surface rust after years in storage. I have photos of all work performed. (I'm retired and now restore cars as a hobby. This is project #10, all others sold to happy buyers. All my projects come with a 100% money back guarantee). Work performed: MECHANICAL: Rebuilt engine with new pistons, rings, bearings, water pump, tentioner, etc. Rebuilt, flushed and fixed (where needed) braking, cooling and fuel systems. New brake pads and shoes. Original radiator, starter, alternator, fuel tank, fuel pump and much more. Some new weather seals and bushings where needed, new battery and tires. New gear oil in trans and diff. All other services/repairs were performed where necessary, while keeping the car very original. INTERIOR: It was nearly perfect but had some light wear on drivers bottom side panel which required upholstry work, but we kept the original center panel. Seat belts are good, harnesses are nearly perfect. Factory plastic still on pass side. The set belt buzzer and light work, choke light works. Orignal carpets come with it plus a complete new installed carpet set. Original dash, excellent. ELECTRICAL: All exterior lights work. All interior lights work including the glove box, 2 coutesy lights and even the service light under hood. Original AM/FM radio works. The guages work except the clock. Lighter works and appears unused, as does the ashtray. COSMETICS: Some panels had at least 1 spot of light surface rust or a ding, requiring repair and repaint. The lower fenders and quarters were very solid as were the lower doors, needing no work. Original paint remains on the roof, all jambs, front and rear valances, inside hood, hatch, interior floors and the engine bay. The new paint is very good. (See photos). Original bumpers. Bumber bar in rear was tarnished from exhaust and is now just painted, not chromed, (see photo). I've driven it about 100 miles since restoration and I'm satisfied that it's ready for market.
