This 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Convertible really brings it all together. Its the first official year for the convertible, and this is an exceptionally preserved low-mileage example. And you have awesome original paint, a loaded leather interior, and the numbers-matching V8 to make this a terrific time capsule. Bright Red is always a great factory color to have on a Camaro, and so it only gets better when you have a good shine on a sunshine-friendly convertible. In fact, black is used as the perfect accent color in places like the tail panel, and the triple stripe even fades into black. For everyone else, they will just marvel at the optional red leather interior. It was a pricey option in 1987, and we have the window sticker to prove it. Low mileage means little seat time, and this upholstery looks awesome. Its loaded with the best factory features like power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And the power convertible top makes the roof disappear behind a stylish tonneau with ease. Its such a nice experience that we bet youll add to the low odometer - especially because this is such a drivers machine. Your bucket seat power adjusts, theres a tilt steering column, and Chevy gives you a full set of crisp/clear readouts. With a car so original this far, its great to see the numbers-matching powerhouse look so well preserved, too. This is the 305 cubic-inch powerplant, and this is basically the end of the era of the four-barrel carburetor. Some of us like that because it makes the cars easier to tune, but on a car this special, its also nice to see it so unaltered thus far. This Z28 proves its a great all-around classic for even long distances with the four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and you even have cruise control! Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, and sway bars front & rear, and you know youll enjoy driving this classic drop-top to plenty of shows.
